Esther Lin, who is a fantastic photographer (she has had two FO cover shots) is a regular contributor to the magazine - she followed King Mo in Japan and produced the 6-page behind-the-scenes piece we ran in Issue 46 / USA/Can issue 1.
Esther and her boyfriend Casey have obviously developed a relationship with Mo, and together they've produced this frankly excellent video, which is the first in what will be a series.
For those of you who don't know who Mo is, he is a former Olympic hopeful who quit wrestling to focus on MMA. He trained with Team Quest until recently, and has three fights to his name (with another to take place March 20th).
Many see Mo as one of the brightest prospects out there, and possibly a future champ.
Brazilian karate fighter Lyoto Machida will face Rashad for the 205lb title in May. Love it or hate it, you can't argue that Machida's style isn't effective.
Lyoto's sponsors Bad Boy filmed this footage of him training at his gym in Brazil. Check it out...
We were all pretty shocked to hear that Charles Lewis, AKA Mask from Tapout, died in a car crash in LA. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends in this difficult time.
Check the video for Mask's final inteview before the fatal accident, in which he gives some good insight into how much the sport meant to him.
Fighters Only's resident technical expert and sponsored fighter is getting ready for a showdown with UFC veteran Jess Liaudin on the upcoming event 10th Legion Championship Fighting, which will take place on April 5th.
Find out more about Pete's preparations and witness him training his ass off for this fight in these excellent videos.
Scottish fighter Dean Reilly of the Dinky Ninja Fight Team in Glasgow sent us this video of him nearly taking some kid's head off with a high kick. Apart from being an awesome knockout (ion all of, what, 10 seconds?) it even features one of his corner team (Scottish fighter James Doolan, seen stood next to the red corner at the end) wearing a snazzy black Fighters Only t-shirt - the words on the back? 'Train Hard Fight Easy', of course, which is exactly what Dean did!
The North East of England is becoming a bit of a hub for MMA. Home to Fighters Only HQ, some top domestic talent and a variety of local shows.
So it was no surprise to hear that UFC superstar Kenny 'Ken Flo' Florian was in town for the weekend for an exclusive UK Seminar.
Taking place in Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne at Phoenix MMA club, TUF 1 contestant Kenny was accompanied by his brother and BJJ coach Kieth. Fighters Only joined them for a bite to eat and a quick chat (keep an eye out for an exclusive interview in Fighters Only magazine soon!) before they headed off to pass their pearls of wisdom on to the many eager students that had turned out.
One of the people involved in putting the trip together was Phoenix Gym member Hayley Ann Forster, and was quick to explain why she had chosen to bring over the Florians:
''Kenny is one of the best fighters, in one of the best divisions. Everyone agrees that Kenny is one of the most rapidly improving fighters in the sport. Keith as his coach, has had a huge role to play in his rise to the top. I was keen to bring someone over to the North East and after watching the Florian brothers on ESPNMMA Live, and knowing they have had huge success with the opening of their Florian Martial Arts Center in Boston, MA – who better to come across to teach?''
Asked if she was happy with the outcome of the seminar weekend Hayley's response was:
''They are two of the most genuine and friendly guys I have met. Their philosophies and teaching techniques were well received by the many who turned out. It has been a pleasure to host this weekend''
