USA Operations Manager Gets Promotion!


Well judging from the title, you would think I moved up in the Fighters only Company!... Not exactly! I had the privilege of being awarded my Blue Belt from Master Ricardo Cavalcanti of Team Carlson Gracie Las Vegas. Unlike most Jiu Jitsu schools, Master Ricardo tests for belt promotions. There are many things you must achieve in order to get promoted. this has made it all the more meaningful for me! Master Ricardo is a 4th degree black Belt under Grand Master Carlson Gracie SR. and has done a wonderful job at continuing the legacy of Master Carlson SR.
It is an honor for me to be promoted and have this degree under Master Ricardo Cavalcanti, and just wanted to share that with you all!

BJJ has changed my life, and I hope you have the chance to experience it as close to the roots of Gracie Jiu Jitsu as I have.

FO's Barry Gibson training TUF9 winner Ross Pearson

Barry has been a contributor to the magazine for some years now, and his work was shown to great effect when Ross Pearson won The Ultimate Fighter 9 last Saturday. Everyone commented on Ross's superb conditioning, which we saw some of during the pre-fight promo (in which he described Barry as an evil man!)
