Michael Bisping made his split from the Wolfslair official today with the announcement that he has engaged a new management team to handle his affairs going forward.
Bisping will henceforth be represented by Paradigm MMA Management, a subsidiary of Paradigm Sports Management. Seasoned mixed martial arts fans will recall reports last year that Paradigm was the company that well-known agent Ken Pavia sold his outfit MMA Agents to.
Bisping relocated to California last year and has been training at the Huntington Beach Ultimate Training Center (HBUTC) with Tiki Gohson, a UFC veteran and coach.
“I have recently signed with Paradigm MMA Management. They looked after my peculiars for my last fight and they did a fantastic job and were highly recommended by friend of mine,” Bisping says.
“I am very, very impressed with how they handle their business. I am excited to join the team, I’m am sure I’ll have a bright future here.”
Paradigm MMA says it will have Bisping engaging in more activities away from the cage in order to boost his profile. This will apparently include anti-bullying programs and work with disadvantaged youngsters.
“I am extremely blessed to have this platform provided to me by the UFC and MMA. I feel it is my responsibility to use it to make a positive impact in other peoples lives and bring awareness to issues that are near and dear to my heart,” states Bisping.
In January, Bisping had a play-off fight with Chael Sonnen for a chance to take a shot at the middleweight title held by Anderson Silva. But he lost a unanimous decision and now finds his title trail one fight longer. His next move has not been announced but as his January opponent was originally supposed to be Demian Maia not Sonnen, that match is a distinct possibility.
