Paul Taylor is out of his UFC on FUEL 4 fight with Anthony Njokuani.
His place has been taken by the Brazilian lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos, a source tells Fighters Only today.
Taylor has suffered an injury in training, although the nature of the injury has not been disclosed as yet.
It continues the Walsall man’s run of bad luck - since knocking Gabe Ruediger out with a head kick on February 5 last year he has been inactive, dropping out of several fights because of injury.
An August meeting with John Makdessi was scrapped when Makdessi got injured; Makdessi was replaced by Donald Cerrone but then Taylor broke his foot in training.
He was then scheduled to face kickboxer Njokuani on 5 November but days before the UFC 138 event, in his home city of Birmingham, he suffered a whiplash injury and was forced off the event.
The fight was rescheduled for July 11 this year, UFC on Fuel TV 4, until his withdrawal due to the latest
Dos Anjos is 1-1 in his last two and coming into the bout off the back of a submission win over Kamal Shalorus last week.
Njokuani is also 1-1 in his last two and is coming off a decision win over Makdessi at UFC 145 in April this year.
