Erick Silva wants to KO Charlie Brenneman tomorrow night - despite BJJ black belt

Despite the disqualification loss in his past performance inside the Octagon, the Ultimate Fighting Championship executives made it clear that they felt Erick Silva won the fight with Carlo Prater at UFC 142, in January.

Tomorrow the Team Nogueira and Integral Medica fighter returns to action in the co-main event of UFC on FX 3, when he is going to square off Charlie Brenneman.

Erick intends to finish the upcoming bout as quick as he defeated Luis Beicao (0:44) and - in Dana White's opinion at least - Carlo Prater (0:29). Silva promises to maintain the aggressive style this third time he will step into the UFC cage.

“I will try to keep the fight on the feet despite being a jiu-jitsu black belt and having a good ground game to sweep and to catch him. I want to maintain the fight on the feet and look for the knockout,” he says.

“I did what I had to along the preparation with Rogerio Camoes. Be sure that I am 100% and you can expect this is gonna be a quick fight. I will get in there focused, determined and very aggressive.

"Indio" - Indian in English - fought twice under UFC banner  in Rio de Janeiro and now will debut outside Brazil but he doesn't show any worry at all about performing before a hostile audience.

“I am calm about fighting in the United States. This is going to be just the same. I will focus on the fight, there's no secret at all. The same way we kept the training for the first fights is going to be now. There's no secret.”
