Maynard wins decision over Guida in lacklustre fight
June 23rd 2012

Gray Maynard won a split-decision over Clay Guida last night in the main event of UFC on FX4, but the bout looks to have booked a spot in UFC history as one of the most lacklustre the company has ever staged.

Guida has been castigated by fans, Maynard and UFC president Dana White for a gameplan that apparently centered around not getting very close to Maynard for much of the fight. The result was a frustrated Maynard chasing Guida round the cage repeatedly.
