Edson Barboza is nominated for an ESPN award.

The Brazilian lightweight has been put forward for an ESPY ‘Best Play’ award for his knockout of Terry Etim earlier this year.

Barboza stopped Etim with a perfectly-timed spinning heel kick in the third round of their fight at UFC 142. The replay made many major sports network highlight broadcasts and has already become part of the UFC’s all-time highlight reel:

If Edson is up for an espy award for that highlight, why didnt anyone get Bruce Boyington's KO highlight on their network? It was the same kick only I would give more credit to Bruce for the fashion in which he threw it and how he baited him in with 1st a spinning back kick then followed up with a spinning hook kick that caused a KO in 10sec of the fight for NEF 4 headlined by TIm Slyvia.Bafe
