Matt Mitrione and Phil De Fries are matched for UFC 155.
Official sources have confirmed the meeting for the main card of the year-ending event, which takes place in Las Vegas on December 29.
Mitrione goes into the bout off the back of a loss to Cheick Kongo at UFC 137. The decision loss took his record to 5-1 and snapped his unbeaten run as a professional fighter.
De Fries is 2-1 in the UFC and coming off a submission win over fellow Brit heavyweight Oli Thompson at UFC on FOX: Shogun vs. Vera.
He won his UFC debut against Rob Broughton by decision at UFC 138 but was then stopped quickly by Stipe Miocic in his next outing.
Mitrione was originally set to face Broughton at the Shogun vs. Vera event but Broughton was forced out for undisclosed reasons.
The fight was rescheduled for UFC on FX 5 in October but has now been scrapped altogether in favour of this newly-announced match.
