Last week we reported that there were conflicting messages on a superfight between Anderson Silva and Georges St. Pierre. Middleweight champion Anderson Silva is all for it and so is UFC president Dana White, no surprise given the fight would be a big PPV seller.
But St. Pierre has never evinced any particularly strong desire to take the fight and he still isn’t. He would have to go up in weight and face a fighter who is much taller and who would be much heavier on the day of the fight.
Plus, he has Carlos Condit in his immediate future and as that fight is going to be his first in a year, he doesn’t want to look past it to a possible Anderson fight.
“I'm not focusing on that, I'm not speculating. I’m thinking about Condit right now, that's what I should do… I feel like I have a lot of guys that are there and I don't understand why people are going crazy now, but I just came back from an injury so maybe some people see me as a weak link. We'll see what's going to happen in the future.”
