Torres: I was released for performance not tweets
September 10th 2012

Miguel Torres’ recent release from the UFC sparked a lot of speculation as to its cause.

Chief among the theories was that he had been released for yet another inappropriate tweet, just as he was shortly into 2012 for a rape joke which went down like a lead balloon with the UFC top brass.

But Torres - who is soon to make his debut for Las Vegas promotion World Series of Fighting - says that the UFC told him directly his release was performance-based.

By Paola PalmaThe {keyword} Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines remains hopeful that the bill may still be junked at the Bicameral Conference Committee meeting, which is set for Tuesday.According to earlier reports, lawmakers who support the bill said they would do their best to get it approved at the bicam meeting before the recess starts.Still, the Most Rev.
