Phil Davis has been confirmed as the replacement opponent for Forrest Griffin at UFC 155.

Griffin had been due to meet Chael Sonnen for what would have been Sonnen’s UFC light-heavyweight debut, but Sonnen was pulled from the bout to take a coaching spot on TUF 17 opposite Jon Jones.

Davis submitted Wagner Prado at the weekend’s UFC 153 event in Brazil and escaped injury in the process, allowing him to take this fight on December 29.
