Hyun Gyu Lim has been removed from the UFC on FUEL 6 card on doctor’s orders.
The Korean team mate of Chan Sung Jung was due to make his debut at tomorrow’s event but did not attend today’s weigh-ins on medical advice.
Apparently his weight cut was so big and so draining that it threatened his health and had to be aborted. Lim was ordered to begin taking on fluids for his dehydrated body.
His fight has been scratched from the card although sources differ as to whether any attempt will be made to find a stand-in for David Mitchell to face.
According to the FUEL TV live weigh-in broadcast, he has been told to stay on weight and ready to fight while other sources say he has been told he isn’t fighting and has been promised his show money.
The card now has nine fights left on it after both Korean debutants pulling out. Last week Kyung Ho Kang was forced to pull out after fracturing his foot in sparring.
