The UFC’s upcoming ‘Euro Series’ (unofficial title) will consist of six events split between the UK and the rest of Europe.
Fighters Only asked Garry Cook, head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa divisions of the UFC, for some details on where and when the fights would take place.
He confirmed that the program would start with London, UK in March, and would roll on to an undisclosed Irish location, the city of Lodz in Poland in October, Istanbul in Turkey and Malmo in Sweden.
The UFC is also taking on matchmakers and talent-scouts focusing solely on the European and non-US regions.
Cook told Fighters Only last week that the UFC has enjoyed considerable interest in Turkey and that, as the country has a wrestling heritage, the UFC product is well understood.
