Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson is in Brazil on vacation after a devastating knockout win over Joey Beltran in his debut at Bellator.
He was in Santa Catarina and now is in Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Sao Paulo, where he took part in the launching of an academy and gave a seminar to MMA fighters.
Speaking with present media, Rampage was outspoken when he commented on Jon Jones’ next fight against Glover Teixeira. Coincidentally, both guys have wins over him but Jackson roots for the Brazilian challenger.
“I think Glover is gonna win. I’m supporting him and I’m betting on him. Jon Jones is an excellent fighter but he doesn’t always put on a show for the fans so they aren‘t always happy with him,” he says.
“He is a great athlete. He is also one of the dirtiest opponents I have fought. If I could, I would break his knee for him so doesn’t fight ever again.”
Rampage now fights under Bellator banner and he was supposed to debut against Tito Ortiz, but Ortiz suffered a neck injury and was preventing from fighting.
“I know Tito had a very serious injury but I want this fight to happen and I am going to carry on working towards that. I want to fight him, badly” he says.
