Browne, White, Gustafsson, Rousey winners at World MMA Awards VI

Chris Weidman scooped Fighter of the Year at this year’s World MMA Awards, earning the ‘Charles “Mask” Lewis Fighter of the Year’ trophy for a 2013 which saw him take two victories over Anderson Silva, winning then retaining the UFC middleweight title.

Women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was named Female Fighter of the Year.

Alexander Gustafsson scooped two awards, scoring International Fighter of the Year and Fight of the Year in conjunction with Jon Jones.

Knockout of the Year was Vitor Belfort’s for his head-kick stoppage of Luke Rockhold, while Submission of the Year went to Urijah Faber for his UFC 157 choking of Ivan Menjivar.

The annual ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ went to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend and vale tudo pioneer Royce Gracie.

    Ariel Helwani is not a reporter anymore for FOX though. He is a TV commentator still I think but not a reporter as he doesn't interview fighters 1o1 anymore.

    Ariel Helwani is not a reporter anymore for FOX though. He is a TV commentator still I think but not a reporter as he doesn't interview fighters 1o1 anymore. he still is a reporter for MMAFighting.com and he does interview fighters 1on1 for them
