UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold is currently ranked #5 in his division with only two men listed above him available to fight - Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza and Vitor Belfort.
Rockhold says he's willing to take any fight which will move him closer to a title shot, although he does have his preferences.
"Who knows? If Vitor can come back or I'll have to rematch Jacare," Rockhold said in an interview with Fight Now TV. "Maybe the winner of [Mark] Munoz and [Gegard] Mousasi. I'm not looking to take a step back. I want to move forward. I want to get that title shot. I want to beat whoever's in front of me. Vitor's my number-one pick."
Luke's motivation to fight Belfort comes from the fact the Brazilian was the last man to defeat him. But, more than that, the AKA fighter feels his former opponent was able to defeat him through less than honourable methods.
"I don't believe anything the guy says and I don't believe he's clean," stated the former Strikeforce champ. "I think he's been dirty his whole career. I'm going to go out there and say that. Whatever. I'm going to be myself. I'm tired of holding back. I'm going to be real. The real MMA fans know what's going on and if you believe he's clean, or anything that comes out of his mouth, I kind of feel sorry for the people that do. I don't have a lot of respect for the guy."
