It was a successful night of fights as five contracts were earned on week two of Dana White’s Contender Series.

The five fighters offered contracts were Dustin Stoltzfus, Adrian Yanez, Cory McKenna, T.J. Laramie and Impa Kasanganay.

Find out how they earned their contract offers below!

Dustin Stoltzfus slams his way to victory over Joseph Pyfer

Dustin Stoltzfus extended his winning streak to 10 after earning a first-round TKO win over former Ring of Combat champion Joseph Pyfer.

It was an even fight between these middleweights as the opening round neared its expiry.

Pyfer got an early takedown and was in control on top, but Stoltzfus was active from bottom and was more than happy to disrupt his opponent with strikes from that disadvantageous p0sition.

The fight came to a sudden end after Pyfer began working on a guillotine choke. Stoltzfus’ instinctive reaction was to lift his opponent and slam his way out of danger.

As Pyfer’s right arm braced for impact, it bent backwards as he dislocated his elbow.

It was a gruesome injury, but Pyfer’s loss is Stoltzfus’ gain on this night.

Adrian Yanez dashes Brady Huang’s hopes in 39 seconds

In a battle of bantamweights, Adrian Yanez came out on top over opponent Brady Huang in less than a minute.

In a wild striking exchange, Huang was hurt after Yanez landed a big counter left hook – dropping to his knee but somehow staying upright.

Yanez paused for a second before blitzing Huang with a flurry of punches which forced referee Jason Herzog to call off the fight just 39 seconds in.

Impressive stuff from Yanez, whose victory is the fifth fastest in Contender Series history.

Cory Mckenna controls Vanessa Demopoulos to earn a UFC contract

Representing Wales, Cory McKenna did her country proud on Tuesday night.

She took on reigning LFA women’s strawweight champion Vanessa Demopoulos and did enough to earn the decision win and get her contract offer.

Demopoulos was hell bent on taking the fight to the floor, but it was McKenna who showed more poise and control on the ground.

McKenna had to avoid a variety of submission attempts from her opponent and did, while taking top position in each of the three rounds to sway the judges.

The pair were fairly even on the feet, but McKenna landed with more power and appeared to have the edge.

That was just enough to sway the judges over three rounds to award the victory to the now 5-1 McKenna, who snapped Demopoulos’ four-fight win streak.

TJ Laramie wins by TKO against experienced Daniel Swain

Aged just 22, Canada’s T.J. Laramie impressed as he took on and defeated a 30+ fight veteran in Daniel Swain.

Laramie scored an early takedown but quickly found himself in danger as Swain attempted multiple armbars and triangle chokes.

The Windsor, Ontario native successfully defended those submission attempts and then went to work.

Laramie punished Swain with some brutal ground and pound, switching between full and half guard, elbows and punches.

Swain could do little to escape but bravely gritted through that onslaught to reach the end of the round, only for the fight to be called off after he was deemed unfit to continue.

Laramie will be pleased with that performance, as was UFC President Dana White who offered him his UFC contract.

Impa Kasanganay extends his unbeaten record at Anthony Adams’ expense

Impa Kasanganay extended his unbeaten MMA record to 7-0 with a unanimous decision win over Anthony Adams on Tuesday night, earning a UFC contract in the process.

Adams looked to have got the better of Kasanganay in the opening round, outstriking him with his kicks and looked stronger in the clinch.

Kasanganay switched gears in the seconds. The Congolese-American sought to take the fight down to the mat and that approach paid off.

With the fight on the floor, Kasanganay was able to control Adams with ease, landing enough ground and pound to keep them down. This was the case again in the third round as Kasanganay turned things up a notch by slamming a series of knees into Adams’ midsection.

After an uneasy first round, Kasanganay showed he knows how to get the job done in second appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series.
