Bellator’s December 9 fight card has three top-drawer matchups already confirmed, with two title fights set to top the bill at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The main event of Bellator 289 will feature the bantamweight grand prix semi-final between interim champion Rafeon Stots and Danny Sabatello, while the co-main slot is filled by a women’s flyweight title rematch, as newly-crowned champion Liz Carmouche takes on the woman she defeated to win the belt, former champ Juliana Velasquez.

The Stots vs. Sabatello bout will see the winner progress to the final as the defending interim 135-pound champion, where they’ll get a shot at the grand prix title and a $1 million prize.

The women’s title fight will see Velasquez get her shot at revenge after immediately contesting her TKO loss to Carmouche, claiming referee Mike Beltran was too quick to step in and wave off the first bout.

Also scheduled for the event is the second bantamweight grand prix semi-final bout, as submission ace Patchy Mix takes on Russian contender Magomed Magomedov.

A pair of preliminary card matchups have also been confirmed, with featherweights Cody Law and Cris Lencioni set to face off, while welterweights Mark Lemminger and Michael Lombardo will also to head to head.
