Patchy Mix captured the interim Bellator bantamweight title and banked a cool $1 million with a stunning one-shot knockout of Raufeon Stots at Bellator 295.

The pair faced off in the main event, which took place at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena, as Bellator’s two-night double-header came to a close in spectacular fashion in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mix needed just 80 seconds to score his highlight-reel finish as he connected with a perfectly-timed knee up the middle, which landed flush on Stots’ chin and knocked him out cold.

It was a stunning finish to a night that had largely been dominated by bouts that went to the scorecards, with finishes at a premium.

Just three of the 11 bouts at Bellator 295 produced finishes, with the first and last bouts of the night delivering knockouts.

In the first bout of the event, Masayuki Kikuiri finished Alexey Shurkevich with a big punch in the second round of their welterweight bout, but it wasn’t until the second bout of the main card that we saw another stoppage.

That came via Hawaiian fan-favorite Yancy Medeiros, who locked up a rear-naked choke to finish English veteran Charlie Leary in the first round in their 165-pound catchweight matchup.

The night’s co-main event featured former women’s flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, who picked up a hard-earned split decision victory over Japanese contender Kana Watanabe after three closely-fought rounds.

The main card opener saw the return to action of Aaron Pico, who went to the scorecards for only the second time in his career as he defeated James Gonzalez via unanimous decision to bounce back into the win column after his injury TKO loss to Jeremy Kennedy last October.
