The fighters are weighed in and ready for Bellator 299 on Saturday night. And, after the official weigh-in session in the morning, the fighters faced off in the afternoon, with tempers threatening to boil over as the main event fighters went nose to nose ahead of fight night.

Reigning middleweight champion Johnny Eblen and title challenger Fabian Edwards both made weight for their main event title fight, with Eblen coming in at 184.6 pounds, compared to Edwards’ 185 pounds.

Only one fighter from the 20-fight card failed to make their contracted weight, with featherweight Piotr Niedzielski coming in 1.8 pounds over the non-title limit for his bout with Khasan Magomedsharipov, but the bout is expected to continue, as planned.

After the official weigh-ins, the fighters took to the stage later in the day for the official faceoffs, and security needed to intervene to separate Eblen and Edwards as tempers flared during their final faceoff.

It sets the stage perfectly for fight night in Dublin, where the 3Arena will play host to the event as Eblen and Edwards do battle for bragging rights, and the Bellator middleweight title.
