Bellator MMA is heading back to the Emerald Isle.

Bellator officials confirmed to Fighters Only this morning that the promotion is heading back to Dublin’s 3Arena for another night of fights on Friday, September 23, with the card set to feature a collection of the organisation’s top European talent.

Already confirmed for the fight card is former Bellator lightweight title challenger Peter Queally. “The Showstopper” was forced out of his planned bout against Kane Mousah earlier this year at Bellator 275 in February due to injury.

But now the Dubliner is ready to return, and his comeback fight will form part of Bellator’s September 23 card.

Joining Queally on the lineup is another of Ireland’s most beloved fighters, Sinead Kavanagh.

Kavanagh picked up a huge win over Leah McCourt in their epic back-and-forth battle at Bellator 275, and is now targeting a second shot at the Bellator women’s featherweight title. With current champ Cris Cyborg facing Arlene Blencowe at Bellator 278, Kavanagh will be looking to deliver another memorable performance to put herself next in line for a shot at the gold.

The event marks Bellator’s third visit to the 3Arena in the space of a year, as the promotion returns to one of its favourite European stomping grounds for another big event.

Matchups and further event details will follow in due course, but tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster.ie and Bellator.com from Friday, March 25, with a special pre-sale taking place the day before.
