London’s Brad Pickett is retired no more.

It was announced yesterday that “One Punch” will be returning to MMA, fighting for Russian promotion Absolute Championship Berkut in his hometown on August 11 in London’s Copper Box Arena for ACB 91.

At present, no opponent has been named for Pickett. However, the bantamweight has an in mind.

“I wanted to fight Takeya Mizugaki a few times in the UFC but it never materialised,” Pickett told MMA Fighting’s Peter Carroll.

“He’s with ACB too so it seems like a good time to do it. He’s an older guy as well so I think it’s more on my playing field. I don’t need to fight some young kid. I don’t have a point to prove, I just want to be involved in a really good fight.”

Pickett originally retired following his loss against Marlon Vera last year at UFC London. This news signals the return of one of the United Kingdom’s most beloved MMA figures.
