Sweden’s Andreas Gustafsson Berg will return to the Brave CF cage for his second appearance for the Bahraini promotion at Brave CF 70, and he has a big name in his crosshairs.

Gustafsson Berg made an instant impact with a TKO win over Serbia’s Miro Jurkovic at Brave CF 39 in a bout that earned the promotion’s 2020 Fight of the Year award.

Now the fighter known as “Bane” is set to return to action against top-ranked super lightweight (165 pounds) Joilton Lutterbach in a super welterweight (175-pound) bout. The matchup will form the co-main event of Brave CF 70, which takes place April 23 in Ljubjana, Slovenia.

Gustafsson Berg has campaigned as a middleweight, and reached the finals of the IMMAF World Championships in 2018 after a run that saw him claim a victory over Christian Leroy Duncan, who went on to capture Cage Warriors gold and sign for the UFC.

After a 10-1 amateur career, Gustafsson Berg turned pro and built an impressive 8-1 pro record, with victories under the Cage Warriors, Brave CF, and KSW banners. Now, more than two years since his last appearance for Brave CF, he’s back and looking to make his mark in a new division.

Victory over Lutterbach could propel him toward a shot at Brave CF gold, with “Peregrino” offering a seasoned and respected test of his abilities.

Through his 47-fight pro career, Lutterbach has captured titles in six different promotions, across multiple weight classes, and is also a two-division K-1 champion. But his quest for championship belts is far from over, and he will be looking to make a statement by defeating Gustafsson Berg and extending his red-hot win streak across multiple combat sports to nine bouts.

His form has already put Lutterbach in line for a shot at super lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov, but before he takes on that challenge, he faces Gustafsson Berg in a fight that could put him in line for a title shot in a second weight class.
