Cage Warriors 150: All fighters on weight – eventually – at London weigh-ins

The official weigh-ins for Cage Warriors 150 took place in London ahead of the promotion’s latest event at the Indigo at The O2, but the session wasn’t without a little drama as no fewer than five fighters initially missed their mark before eventually returning to make their matchups official.

The event will be headlined by a matchup between former Cage Warriors featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic and Italian prospect Tiziano Ferranti and, while Ferranti weighed in with poundage to spare, the former champ needed two attempts to make his contracted weight.

Vucenic initially tipped the scale at the Crowne Plaza hotel at 149.1 pounds. But, after going away to work off the excess weight, “The Epidemic” returned to the scale during the closing minutes of the session and hit the non-title limit of 146 pounds to make his matchup official.

There were no such issues with the welterweight co-main event, as Justin Burlinson and Jamie Richardson both arrived on the scale a tad under the 171-pound non-title limit, weighing 170.5 and 170.6 pounds, respectively. Likewise, flyweights Davide Scarano and Lone’er Kavanagh both hit their respective marks, weighing in at 125.9 and 124.9, respectively for their main card matchup.

Four other fighters had to make second visits to the scale before eventually making weight, with women’s bantamweight Awa Sow, featherweight Wesley Machado, bantamweight Bogdan Barbu and welterweight Mush Aslani all needing to go away and shed more weight before returning to make their contracted weights.
