The fight card for Cage Warriors 157 in London has a major new addition, with former featherweight champion Morgan Charriere signed and sealed to compete in the English capital.

“The Last Pirate” produced an impressive performance to finish grappling ace Pedro Souza in Dublin as he survived the Brazilian’s submission attack on the mat, before finishing him with strikes at the 3Arena.

Now the Frenchman is set to jump back into the cage with more Brazilian opposition as he faces former LFA bantamweight title challenger Diego Silva, who is moving up a division for his promotional debut as he begins his quest for a shot at Cage Warriors gold.

The bout joins the fight card for Cage Warriors 157, which takes place on Friday, July 21 at the Indigo at The O2, the night before UFC London in the main O2 Arena.

Charriere is sure to bring a raucous fan following with him to London, with his passionate fanbase ready to head across the English Channel to support their man in action. Charriere has only been defeated by Cage Warriors champions during his time with the promotion, and he has his sights set on another championship run of his own.

Silva, meanwhile, finally gets his opportunity to face the Frenchman after flying in to Dublin as a backup opponent at Cage Warriors 154. His services weren’t required on that occasion, but now he gets his chance to take on “The Last Pirate” as “Magrinho” makes his Cage Warriors debut.

Cage Warriors 157 already has a championship bout confirmed for the event, with middleweight champion Mick Stanton set to put his newly-won title on the line for the first time against former champ James Webb in a 185-pound rematch. Also set for action in London are former featherweight champion Jordan Vucenic, undefeated flyweight Lone’er Kavanagh and 3-1 featherweight prospect Nik Bagley.
