Night two of Cage Warriors’ The Trilogy triple header was filled with stoppages and that was emphasised in the main event of Cage Warriors 115 when bantamweight champion Jack Cartwright made quick work of Dutch challenger Gerardo Fanny.

As quick as the fight was, there was plenty of action packed into little over two minutes.

Cartwright started off fast and troubled Fanny with his boxing before securing a takedown.

Fanny managed to reverse position, but couldn’t stop Cartwright from doing the same. Cartwright wasn’t going to let Fanny off lightly this time around, though.

Cartwright doesn’t mess around on the feet nor on the ground and he quickly went to work on an arm-triangle choke. And as soon as he manage to shift his legs out of Fanny’s guard to the left, the Bolton bantamweight forced the tap to defend his Cage Warriors crown once again.

The UFC could be calling for the talented Cartwright, who know boosts his spotless record to 9-0.

Jack Grant snatches a guillotine choke to submit Yassine Belhadj

Unfortunately for Cage Warriors debutant Yassine Belhadj, Jack Grant entered the cage with a chip on his shoulder after a tough loss to Jai Herbert last time out.

The game Grimsby fighter went 16-5 in professional bouts when he submitted Belhadj in spectacular fashion.

Proceedings got off to an entertaining start when Grant threw a devastating leg kick which sent a mid-jump Belhadj crashing down to the canvas.

From there, Grant went to work. He first tried to secure an anaconda choke which Belhadj handily escaped.

In the ensuing scramble, Grant locked his hands around the Parisian’s neck to roll into a guillotine choke in full mount to earn a swift tap.

This was a pretty spectacular return to form for Grant, who will be looking to get back into the Cage Warriors lightweight title picture ASAP.
