After a packed year spent on both sides of the Atlantic, Cage Warriors is all set to bring the curtain down on 2022 with a spectacular event in London that will pit Europe against the United States.

Cage Warriors 148: Europe vs. USA will take place on December 31 at The Indigo at The O2, with a host of familiar Cage Warriors names set to feature on the bill.

The event rekindles the promotion’s tradition of New Year’s events, with the first such event in 2012 seeing Conor McGregor knock out Ivan Buchinger at the Helix in Dublin to become a simultaneous two-division Cage Warriors champion and earn himself a shot in the UFC.

The following year, Buchinger returned to the Helix and defeated Stevie Ray to claim lightweight gold in one of the promotion’s greatest title fights.

Now Cage Warriors are bringing back their New Year’s shows, with bouts for this year’s event set to be announced in due course. The event will also feature two different after-parties to take the fans into 2023 in style.

Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan said he’ll bring the best of his American roster across the pond to face the cream of his European lineup on a big night for the promotion as they look to round off a huge year.

“I’m delighted to be bringing back the Cage Warriors New Year’s party after a nine-year hiatus!” he said.

“2022 has been a banner year for the promotion, so there’s no better way to give back to the fans than capping it off with one of the biggest and most unique events in Cage Warriors history.

“Ever since our debut in San Diego last year, fans have been asking when we’ll see members of the American roster crossing over to face Europe’s finest.

“With rosters on both sides of the Atlantic stronger than ever, now is the time to pit Team Europe against Team USA and end the year with a bang!”
