Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington took a media hiatus following his fifth-round TKO loss to Kamaru Usman in their title fight at UFC 245.

“Chaos” resurfaced on Monday night, speaking to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

Covington got straight to business as you’d expect. The Oregon native refuted claims that he had suffered a broken jaw against Usman, before contradicting himself when asking how his opponent’s camp found out that he had that injury.

He also called out referee Marc Goddard for what he saw as unfair treatment in that fight, before campaigning for a rematch with Usman.

Then came the subject matter of 50 Cent.

Following UFC 245, 50 Cent took to Instagram to mock Covington for his loss and the now-disputed broken jaw that he reportedly endured.

Covington paid attention to the rapper-turned-actor’s trash talk.

“I want to do a celebrity boxing match,” Covington told Helwani. “I’m going to tie one hand behind my back and I’m going to fight 50 Cent.

“I’m going to put up 1 million of my dollars.”

Chaos went on to say he’d let 50 Cent choose which hand to tie behind his back.

With a rematch with Usman looking increasingly unlikely following UFC President Dana White’s revelation that he’s planning to pit the UFC welterweight champion against Jorge Masvidal in July, Covington may be stuck calling for a highly unlikely fight with 44-year-old who has no combat sports experience.

I’m sure we’ll be hearing from Covington plenty in the coming months.
