Joanna Jedrzejczyk will make a quick return to the Octagon following her disappointing decision loss against Rose Namajunas at UFC 223.
In her first non-title fight since 2014, ex-UFC strawweight champion Jedrzejczyk will face Tecia Torres at UFC on FOX 30, scheduled for July 28 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The news was confirmed by the official UFC Europe Twitter account.

Jedrzejczyk was seemingly on track to become one of the UFC’s most dominant champions ever, holding the belt since her dominant victory over Carla Esparza in 2015. However, she soon encountered the aforementioned Namajunas.
Current champion Namajunas handily defied the bookmakers odds to earn a shock first-round knockout win over Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217, before defeating her once again at UFC 223 by decision.
Jedrzejczyk’s opponent Torres is also looking to bounce back from disappointment.
Former TUF contestant Torres was on a three-fight winning streak until tasting defeat to Jessica Andrade in February.
“The Tiny Tornado” is now 6-2 in the UFC, but has a defeat in common with Jedrzejczyk, having been defeated by Namajunas in 2016.
