The KSW heavyweight title will be on the line on Saturday night in Gdynia, Poland, as the most dominant champion in the promotion’s history gets set to put his title on the line again at KSW 84.

De Fries will take on Szymon Bajor, who returns to the promotion after seven years away. Most recently, the Pole claimed victory over Ronny Markes in the PFL. The 35-year-old, 35-fight veteran of the sport heads into Saturday night’s main event riding a four-fight win streak, with his unanimous decision victory over Markes last August putting him on course for a return to KSW, and an immediate shot at De Fries’ heavyweight crown.

De Fries has enjoyed an incredible run since joining KSW in 2018. Since then, he’s gone undefeated under the KSW banner, winning all nine of his fights.

The Englishman captured the KSW heavyweight title on his promotional debut at KSW 43, where he stopped Michal Andryszak in the first round. Since then, De Fries has reigned over the heavyweight division in dominant fashion, racking up eight successive title defenses.

Karol Bedorf, Tomasz Narkun (twice), Luis Henrique, Michal Kita, Darko Stosic, Ricardo Prasel, and Todd Duffee all tried, and failed to dethrone De Fries as he became the most dominant champion in KSW history.

Now riding an 11-fight win streak, the big Englishman takes on Bajor looking to register his ninth successive title defense.

The co-main event will feature a crucial clash in the promotion’s bantamweight division, as former champion Sebastian Przybysz takes on German contender Islam Djabrailov, who is making his promotional debut after capturing the bantamweight title for German promotion We Love MMA.

Former Olympic medalist Damian Janikowski also returns to action on the card, with the middleweight set to face Cezary Kesik in a 185-pound matchup, while former heavyweight title challenger Darko Stosic faces undefeated Stefan Vojac in a heavyweight bout.

UFC veteran Damian Stasiak is also scheduled for action, with the featherweight set to take on Pascal Hintzen.
