UFC 248: Israel Adesanya retains UFC middleweight title against Yoel Romero
It wasn’t the firework-filled fight we had all been hoping for, but Israel Adesanya got the job done in making his first defence of the unified UFC middleweight champion Yoel Romero.
Adesanya was awarded the fight by all three cageside judges as he took the unanimous decision and his belt home with him to New Zealand.

It was International Women’s Day on Sunday, and that was marked by one of the finest MMA fights you could ever wish to see.
Weili Zhang may have left the Octagon the victor, but she and Joanna Jedrzejczyk both elevated their statuses as must-watch fighters with a five-round war which will live long in the memory.
Zhang made her first defence of her UFC strawweight title, but long-time 115-pound queen Jedrzejczyk will surely come knocking again very, very soon.
UFC 248: Brian Ortega attacks rapper and friend of The Korean Zombie, Jay Park
As UFC President said, UFC 248 was a crazy night. But not necessarily for all the right reasons.
One incident saw former UFC featherweight title contender Brian Ortega attack rapper Jay Park in the crowd. Park is a friend of “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, and recently translated for TKZ in an interview, relaying comments Ortega took issue with.
Jung had plenty to say about what happened. Make sure you scroll down to the best of social media segment to find out what was said.

Last night, you sat 10 meters away from me and Jay Park. For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine. But you fucking attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom. Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate. Even worse, you were sitting there waiting until I would be absent and attacked Jay Park. It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child. You should have attacked me. If so, I would have not been upset. You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter. If you fucking planned this to fight me and to use my name because people
don't remember your name anymore, then I congratulate you, it worked. I will fight you and I will knock you out and your fucking face will be bloody. Now, your fucking face stays in my mind and I will fuck you up in the cage. I hope you won’t run away from me again.
Funnily enough, “The Korean Zombie” didn’t take kindly to Brian Ortega’s actions during UFC 248.
Here is what the South Korean fighter had to say about his friend Jay Park and Ortega.

The man seemingly dressed like a referee turns out to be UFC strawweight Angela Hill’s husband. Handy gear to have on when things get wild in the crowd!
Paulo Costa was in the news a lot over the fight weekend as his campaign kicks up a gear to get that title shot against UFC middleweight champion Adesanya.
In Las Vegas, Costa trained with, and summarily beat up, YouTuber Logan Paul. We’ve skipped ahead of Paul’s video so you don’t have to subject yourself to his inane stuff beforehand.

As Petr Yan alludes to, he has his first main event lined up.
The Russian bantamweight is set to take on Marlon Moraes in the UFC’s first ever trip to Kazakhstan.
Expect the winner of this top-tier 135-pound bout to be next in line to face the winner of the upcoming championship fight between Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo.
