UFC 253 has its second title fight.

With Jon Jones announcing that he has relinquished his UFC light heavyweight championship amid talk of a run at heavyweight, the UFC confirmed a title bout for the 205-pound title between Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz.

UFC 253 is set to be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa.

Reyes’ last fight saw him suffer a contested unanimous decision loss to Jones for the championship at UFC 247 in February. The Californian boasts wins over former UFC champions and challengers such as Chris Weidman, Volkan Oezdemir and Ovince St. Preux.

Poland’s Blachowicz has enjoyed a career resurgence of late, having won seven of his last eight bouts in the Octagon, posting wins over big names such as Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Corey Anderson and Jared Cannonier during that run.

UFC 253 is set to take place at the UFC Apex facility on 26 September.
