Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski produced the best performance of his championship reign at UFC 273 to further cement his position as the world’s premier 145-pounder.

UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski totally dominated “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung in the main event in Jacksonville to extend his win streak to 21 fights, with 11 of those coming inside the UFC octagon.

Volkanovski happily stood and traded with Jung as he showcased his boxing – and his punch power – to earn a TKO finish, with Herb Dean finally seeing enough 45 seconds into the fourth round after the Aussie came very close to finishing his man in the closing seconds of Round 3.

After the fight, Volkanovski admitted he had started to feel a bit sorry for his opponent, who he seemingly couldn’t miss with his power shots. But he also stated that he is still improving and still chasing even more greatness as he looks to continue his dominance of one of the UFC’s toughest and most talented-stacked weight divisions.

Jung, meanwhile, gave his biggest hint yet that he may consider retirement after his second shot at UFC gold fell short.
