UFC President Dana White earlier announced the promotion will be putting on three fight cards in a week, starting with UFC 249 on 9 May.

Held behind closed doors in Florida due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the two following events take place on Wednesday 13 May and then Saturday 16 May.

White also said the promotion is putting together a card for 23rd May, which could be held at a different venue to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, where those three cards will be hosted.

The UFC President made these announcements on an Instagram Live session with ESPN.

The UFC 249 fight card will take a similar form to what was originally announced for 18 April.

An interim UFC lightweight championship bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will headline the event. This is a fight White describes as being “probable one of the most violent fights you could ever make.” We can’t wait.
