This Saturday night, September 4, several UFC hopefuls are set for action at UAE Warriors 22 at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi as they look to score big wins to attract the attention of the top brass in Las Vegas.
In the night’s main event, former BAMMA champion Rany Saadeh takes on decorated wrestler and longtime Bellator fighter Shawn Bunch.
Saadeh (12-3) made his promotional debut earlier this year with a decision win over Abdel Ali Hariri. The German has been vocal about wanting to make a statement in this fight in order to impress Dana White and the UFC matchmakers.
However, Bunch (9-5) will be aiming to spoil the party. A teammate of Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov at American Kickboxing Academy, Bunch is a 10-fight Bellator veteran and a U.S. National and Pan American champion.
In the co-main event, former Chelsea reserve goalkeeper and Dana White’s Contender Series veteran Ricardo Prasel (11-2) will also be looking to continue his quest to get to the UFC. The Brazilian heavyweight takes on PFL veteran and world sambo champion Mikhail Mokhnatkin (12-5) in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
Elsewhere on the card, Canada’s ADCC champ Corinne Laframboise (6-4) meets Swedish striker Elin ‘The Amazon’ Oberg (3-1), Portugal’s PFL and Bellator veteran Andre Fialho (12-3) faces Brazil’s Lincoln Puig (10-3), top Dutch prospect Jarno Errens (11-2) takes on undefeated Kazakhstani Ali Kabdulla (6-0), and hot prospect Ramazan Kuramagomedov (8-0) meets Argentina’s Matias ‘El Dragon’ Juarez (11-3).
