The Octagon is heading back to the City of Light, with the UFC announcing its return to Paris, France, on Saturday, September 2.

The promotion made its debut on French soil back in September last year with a UFC Fight Night event headlined by French heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane and Australian crowd-pleaser Tai Tuivasa. The bout served up a spectacular main event to close the show, with Gane sealing victory with a dramatic third-round knockout.

Now the UFC is all set to head back to France, with the promotion confirming its return to the Accor Arena on September 2.

Tickets are set to go on sale on Friday, June 23, with Fight Club and Newsletter presales set to take place on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22, respectively.

After playing a starring role in the UFC’s first show on French soil, Gane looks a likely bet to feature in the main event once again, with Russian contender Sergei Pavlovich a potential opponent.

Other fighters who are sure to be keen to compete on the September 2 card are women’s flyweight contender Manon Fiorot and featherweight William Gomis, while middleweight Nassourdine Imavov and lightweights Fares Ziam and Benoit Saint-Denis may call for a swift turnaround to appear on the card if they get through their upcoming bouts unscathed.

A host of other European stars is also set to be added to the fight card, with bouts to be announced in due course.
