Justin Gaethje earns TKO win over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone

Justin Gaethje is truly in the UFC lightweight title mix after convincingly dispatching Donald Cerrone inside a round at UFC Vancouver.

Both fighters were as aggressive as you would imagine with these two dynamic strikers.

Cowboy was more combination-heavy, throwing punches in bunches, mixed in with kicks to the body at range.

Gaethje went for power, chopping away at Cerrone’s legs with some hefty kicks, while throwing his punches with plenty of pep, but in singular shots.

Unfortunately Cerrone, power won out in Vancouver.

Cerrone went to launch another assault of combination punching, only for Gaethje to slip them and launch a counter right which knocked “Cowboy” down to the floor on all fours.

Gaethje followed up with more punches while Cerrone was down and appeared to appeal to the referee to stop the fight and prevent any further damage being done his downed, defenceless opponent.

The referee eventually steps in a to call the fight off, awarding the TKO victory to Gaethje.
