KSW, Europe’s leading MMA promotion, will aim to make history next year after booking the 60,000-seater Warsaw National Stadium in Poland for an event on May 27th. If tickets sales are strong, it would smash records for the highest attendance for a European MMA event.

The ambitious card will be headlined by the organization’s biggest and brightest Polish stars, including KSW middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov and the former five-time world’s strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Newly-crowned heavyweight champion Fernando Rodrigues Jr will also defend his title for the first time, while Olympic wrestling bronze medalist Damian Janikowski will make his long-awaited MMA debut.

A statement released by KSW today stated: “The PGE Narodowy is the biggest arena in this part of Europe, the home stadium of the Polish national football team and the host of various music concerts and sporting events. On May 27th, for the first time in history, the MMA fighters will have the opportunity to compete in front of 60,000 spectators.”

KSW was started 10 years ago and regularly sells out indoor arenas in its native Poland, including the 17,000-seater Tauron Arena in Krakow, the 15,000 Atlas Arena in Lodz and the 13,000-seater Ergo Arena in Gdansk. But this stadium card is their biggest undertaking to date.

The first batch of pre-sale tickets are already available via eBilet.pl.
