ONE Championship are heading back to Macao, China on August 5 with an event, ONE: Kings & Conquerors, headlined by a ONE bantamweight title fight between champion Bibiano Fernandes and top contender Andrew Leone.

“ONE Championship is thrilled to announce another amazing extravaganza at the world-class Cotai Arena in Macao,” said Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship. “Our last show did extremely well to showcase our unique brand of world-class martial arts action, and we are excited to do it all over again this August. We have an amazing card planned for fans all across the world, including a blockbuster championship showdown between tremendous competitors in Bibiano Fernandes and Andrew Leone. The interesting clash of styles should provide fans a solid matchup.”

Brazilian Fernandes, known as ‘The Flash’, is a 37-year-old champion who made his ONE Championship debut in 2012 and captured his title a year later. Known for his dangerous striking and high-level grappling ability, Fernandes has won his last twelve fights, three by submission and two by knockout, and has emerged as one of the very best bantamweights in the world.

His opponent, Andre Leone, meanwhile, is a 27-year-old from Cortland, New York, who trains alongside some of the premier mixed martial artists in Asia at the renowned Bali MMA gym in Bali, Indonesia. On a run of three straight victories, Leone, 8-2, has earned his shot at Fernandes the hard way and feels the time is now to step up to the plate and become a world champion.
