Brave CF featherweight champion Roman Bogatov will put his title on the line for the first time when he meets Kyrgyzstan’s Nemat Abdrashitov in the main event of Brave CF 72 on June 23.

Brave CF 72 forms part of the second leg of the exciting Kombat Kingdom series that returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain, this year following a successful week of action last October in Isa Town, Bahrain. Kombat Kingdom kicks off on June 19 with Brave CF 71 before Bogatov and Abdrashitov headline the follow-up card four days later.

Bogatov has been in scintillating form from 2021, racking up three wins since his promotional debut at Brave CF 46 where he introduced himself to the fans with a dominant unanimous decision win over Kazakhstan’s Nurzhan Akishev.

That victory began a successful run leading him to a championship duel where he cemented his reign in the 145-pound division with a hard-fought split decision win, handing South Korea’s Tae Kyun Kim his first-ever loss at Brave CF 64 in their vacant championship fight. Bogatov’s last two fights have been Fight of The Year candidates and he will look to maintain the tradition of all previous Featherweight champions – both Elias Boudegzdame and Bubba Jenkins have successfully defended their throne.

Abdrashitov made his Brave CF debut the same year as his upcoming opponent. The Kyrgyz has not set a foot wrong in Brave CF thus far, with three ferocious knockout victories.

His last win saw him produce a devastating right-hand KO to Brazil’s Marcos Vinicius Costa at Brave CF 63. That result secured him a number-one contender spot and he now has the chance to follow in his countryman and Brave CF lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek’s footsteps by becoming the second Kyrgyz to capture Brave CF championship gold.

Brave CF 72 takes place Friday, June 23 at the National Stadium in Riffa, Bahrain, and streams live on watch.bravecftv.com.
