It’s been over a year since Carlos Condit was last in action, but the good news for fight fans is that he has a bout now set for later this year.
On December 30, at UFC 219, Condit will meet Neil Magny, according to UFC Tonight.
Condit, 33-10, is a former WEC welterweight champion and UFC interim welterweight champion and was last seen being submitted by Demian Maia inside the first round last August. Before that he dropped a close decision to UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler in the 2016 ‘Fight of the Year’, and is perhaps best known for wins over the likes of Rory MacDonald, Nick Diaz and Dan Hardy.
Magny, meanwhile, is 19-6 in his MMA career to date and is also eager to get back in the win column. The man who once won 10 of 11 fights between 2014 and 2016 has fallen on hard times of late and has lost two of his last three, one of which was a submission loss to Rafael dos Anjos. His best wins are Johny Hendricks, Kelvin Gastelum, Hector Lombard.
A main event for UFC 219 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, has yet to be announced.
