Now that Jon Jones has been removed from the UFC 200 main event, following a flagged United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug test, a number of fighters have taken to social media in the hopes of fighting Daniel Cormier on short notice.

Speaking at the very quickly put together press conference in the early hours of Thursday morning, UFC President Dana White said getting a replacement for Daniel Cormier is something he’s open to even though we are just a few days away from the event.

“Joe Silva is in the air right now, so he doesn’t know,” said Dana White. “I will talk to him when he lands, and maybe somebody wants to pop up and fight Cormier last minute. Stranger things have happened, so we’ll see what happens. I would like for that to happen for Cormier.”

Whether Cormier receives and accepts a new opponent on short notice or not, one thing is for sure, the new main event for UFC 200 is now Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt. The heavyweights have been pushed to the top of the card which will still be contested in 3 rounds.
