UFC bantamweights Rob Font and Douglas Silva de Andrade will collide on July 8 as part of the UFC 213 prelims, it was today announced.
Twenty-nine-year-old Font, 13-2, a native of Massachusetts, has won three of his four UFC bouts to date, each of them via finish, and was last seen defeating Matt Schnell via first-round TKO in December.
Andrade, meanwhile, is a 32-year-old on a two-fight win-streak and boasts a record of 24-1. The talented Brazilian has defeated Cody Gibson and Enrique Briones in back-to-back fights and last time out stopped Briones with an impressive spinning back-fist.
UFC 213 takes place on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by the women’s bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko. Also on the card is an interim middleweight title fight between Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker.
