Cage Warriors welterweight Lewis ‘The Foot’ Long will next appear on September 16 in London at Indigo at the O2, he announced this afternoon (see below).
The talented Welshman defeated Che Mills last time out in May, but spent just 18 seconds in the cage that night due to an injury suffered by Mills. Long had hoped for a quick turnaround and was itching for another fight. He even floated the idea of fighting on the UFC’s show in Glasgow, Scotland on July 16.
But it would appear September 16 will be the next opportunity for Long’s fans to get a glimpse of him in action.
Long, from Pontypridd, has won eight of his last nine fights and hasn’t gone to a decision since September 2013. An exciting, all-action fighter, Long, 15-4, submitted Ryan Scope inside the first round earlier this year and doesn’t seem too far away from showing up on a UFC card near you.
