With original opponent Tony Ferguson forced out due to health issues, Khabib Nurmagomedov will now welcome Darrell Horcher to the UFC at UFC on Fox 19. The bout will take place at a 160lb catchweight.
Khabib’s bout with Ferguson was set for the main event slot, but with him now facing a relatively unknown opponent his fight has been moved down the main card and been replaced in the main event slot by original co-main event Rashad Evans vs. Glover Teixeira. Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida has been moved up to the co-main event.
Horcher is 12-1 in pro MMA and a veteran of Cage Fury Fighting Championships. He is riding a five-fight win streak, with his last win coming over Stephen Regman via TKO last October at CFFC 52.
Khabib is returning to action following a layoff of two years due to a series of injuries. His last win came over current UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 11.
UFC on Fox 19 takes place April 16th in Tampa, Florida at the Amalie Arena.
