Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Nathaniel Wood will defend his title against undefeated Josh Reed on September 16 at Indigo at The O2 in London, it was announced today.
The fight will headline Cage Warriors 86, a show that also features Corrin Eaton vs. Dean Trueman and Lewis Long against an opponent still to be determined.
“After two sell-out shows at our London home in February and June, we’re delighted to head back to the Indigo at The O2 in September,” said Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan. “Nathaniel has said the belt will not leave his home town, but Josh will bring a lot of support from Wales and is unbeaten as a professional, so I’m anticipating a strong, competitive fight.”
Nathaniel ‘The Prospect’ Wood, 11-3, won the Cage Warriors bantamweight title earlier this month with a stunning first-round knockout of Mark Kovacevic at Cage Warriors 84, while his first challenger, Josh ‘Crazy Horse’ Reed, 7-0, was last seen knocking out Gavin Kelly inside a round at Cage Warriors 83.
