The Brit will make his return to the bantamweight division against the surging Brazilian at the blockbuster event.

In a week plagued with bad news, injury-related and otherwise, things don't look to be getting better just yet for MMA fans as it has now been confirmed that UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov will be out for four to six months due to his recently suffered knee injury.

Alexander Gustafsson has been forced out of his upcoming fight against Glover Teixeira due to injury. Now, a strawweight title bout between Jessica Penne and champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will take the place of Gustafsson vs. Teixeira as the UFC Fight Night 69 main event.

Canadian lightweight John Makdessi has stepped up on short notice to take on Cerrone after Nurmagomedov pulled out of the fight with a knee injury.

Despite being a late replacement opponent for #1-ranked UFC light heavyweight Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson at UFC 187, Daniel Cormier has opened as the bookies' favorite ahead of the upcoming fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title.

Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Michelle Waterson has had her UFC debut date and opponent confirmed. Waterson will take on The Ultimate Fighter season 20 competitor Angela Magana at the TUF 21 Finale.

UFC middleweight contender Luke Rockhold is currently on a collision course with former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, as the two are set to fight at UFC on Fox 15 on April 18th.

But following a recent appearance on US reality show Millionaire Matchmaker, Luke's personal life (and more specifically, his love life) has been of even more interest than his fighting career. In an exclusive interview with the former Strikeforce middleweight champ in the current issue of Fighters Only, Rockhold discusses the movies and TV shows he enjoys when not training and, of course, talks a little about the ladies. Despite the haters, the profile of Irish UFC featherweight Conor McGregor continues to rise as it was announced yesterday that the one they call 'The Notorious' has inked a deal with top sports equipment brand Reebok.

“Can you smell that money?" Conor joked with UFC Tonight host Kenny Florian. "I’ve partnered with Reebok. It’s a big step forward in my career and I’m honored to be with this brand... I’m honored to be one of the athletes that Reebok has chosen to get behind. I will prove that by going out and performing in phenomenal style.”

The deal comes roughly one-and-a-half months after the UFC confirmed an exclusive apparel deal with the brand.

McGregor will face his next challenge in Dennis Siver this Sunday in the main event at UFC Fight Night 59. With a win the Irishman will get the next shot at Jose Aldo's featherweight title. He has stated numerous times in the build-up to his next contest that he believes he will stop the fight within the first two minutes.

“I enjoy pressure," he said when asked if he has put more pressure on himself with his bold prediction. "I like the feeling and illusion of pressure. Where the prediction has come from, I analyze my opponent. The shot I need to put him away will happen four or five times over within the first two minutes. So I feel two minutes is a fair prediction for Dennis. I feel it could even be the first exchange. The way he moves, he will not take what I give.”

UFC lightweight contender Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone will make it two fights in just over two weeks this weekend as he faces Benson Henderson in the co-main event at UFC Fight Night 59.

As part of the pre-fight build-up to this short notice trilogy blockbuster, the UFC presents All Angles in which viewers get to know Cerrone outside the cage and follow his thrilling escapades throughout late 2014. Among Cowboy's entertaining activities are duck hunting and Ultimate Frisbee.

News broke yesterday that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones tested positive for benzoylecgonine (the main metabolite in cocaine) in a random drug test issued by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) on December 4th - one month prior to his UFC 182 title defence against Daniel Cormier.

It may seem crazy to the outside world that a guy like Tim Kennedy makes his living fighting the world's most men inside the confines of a cage - but when you see how the smiling ex-soldier likes to relax then you begin to understand why it takes such extreme situations to get Kennedy's blood pumping.

It appears you can’t release a music video and expect it to reach the top of the charts anymore without getting ‘The California Kid’ Urijah Faber to cameo in it.

Hot on the heels of his guest appearance in Pharrell Williams’ 24-hour Happy video, where he danced along the California streets with sister Michaella, Faber is now the male lead in Lauren Mayhew’s next hit What Is Love.

Former UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones is out of MMA for the foreseeable future pending an indefinite suspension from the UFC due to a recent hit-and-run incident involving Jones. Already there has been much speculation on when we will see the former champ back in action.

However, if the words of his manager are to be believed, we may in fact never see Jon Jones fight again.

With it having been confirmed in March that Invicta FC 145lb champion Cris 'Cyborg' Justino has signed a joint-promotion contract with the UFC, a superfight with UFC 135lb women's champ Ronda Rousey is becoming increasingly possible.

With his original opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov pulling out of UFC 187 due to a knee injury, top lightweight contender Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone will now face unranked John Makdessi at the event.

To say, 'It has been a difficult week for former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones' would be the understatement of the year. After being indefinitely suspended by the UFC and stripped of his title for allegedly causing a three-car traffic accident and fleeing the scene on foot this past weekend, the future of the sport's top pound-for-pound fighter is very much in question.

With Jon Jones being stripped of the UFC light heavyweight title and suspended indefinitely from MMA competition, his former opponent Daniel Cormier will get a shot at claiming the belt when he steps in to face Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson for the vacant championship at UFC 187.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson was successful in his UFC return this past weekend at UFC 186 with a unanimous decision victory over Fabio Maldonado. However, it seems one of Quinton's former opponents wasn't impressed by his performance.
