Yes, you’re reading this correctly. Cris Cyborg is set to headline a UFC card and perhaps in the process force the promotions hands into one day creating a 145lbs women’s weight class where she currently reigns supreme in Invicta FC. For the time being, however, the promotion is happy to use her star power and give her top billing.

Following on from a successful catchweight bout at 140lbs against Leslie Smith, which served to be part of the UFC 198 main card earlier this year, Cyborg is set to receive the red carpet treatment as she headlines UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24th in Brasilia, live on Fox Sports 1 in the US.

Standing across the Octagon will be Lina Lansberg, making her UFC debut. Lansberg will be looking to do what no-one has been able to do in over a decade and stop one of the most dominant female fighters the sport has ever produced.

Although no official announcement has been made by the promotion, following reports by local media, Cyborg took to social media to confirm the matchup.

UFC Fight Night 95 is shaping up quite nicely as heavyweights Roy Nelson vs. Antonio Silva was also announced this week, while the card will also feature former bantamweight champion Renan Barao vs. Phillipe Nover in the co-main event. The full card is listed below.
