World Series of Fighting (WSOF) lightweight champion Justin Gaethje’s suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct has been lifted by the Colorado Boxing Commission (CBC) just one day after it was announced.
Gaethje was suspended indefinitely by the CBC for performing a backflip off the cage following his TKO victory over Brian Foster at WSOF 29 this past weekend. The celebration – a trademark of Gaethje’s – is against CBC rules and, according to reports, the WSOF 155lb champ was warned against it before the fight.
There was uproar from fans following news of Justin’s suspension, but he was quick to reassure his followers on Twitter:
I should be off the suspension list tomorrow. The commision just wanted to tell me not to do it again in Colorado. Thank you for the support

According to CBC director Josef Mason, the suspension was simply to ensure Gaethje understood the commission’s concern for the safety of those cageside.
