It seems like retired pound-for-pound number one boxer in the world, Floyd Mayweather is constantly in the MMA headlines. This time though, it’s because of the number one pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world, Jon Jones. TMZ recently caught up with the UFC interim light heavyweight champion to question him on the possibility of joining Mayweather’s promotional firm, The Money Team.

“Yeah, Floyd Mayweather called me and we had a nice long conversation about doing some things together and I haven’t heard from him since, so Floyd, come on man give me a call,” Jones said.

Considering the revenue he’s been able to generate throughout his entire career, the idea of working with Mayweather is one that entices Jones.

“I would love to work with Floyd Mayweather,” he added. “I really respect a lot of things he’s been able to do in business. He’s arguably the most successful combatant that’s ever done it. Being in line with a great champion like him would be awesome.”

Jones is scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier for the undisputed UFC light heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 200, which takes place at the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this Saturday, July 9th.
